Ep 198 | An Addict’s Redemption Story the World NEEDS to Hear | Jeff Allen | The Glenn Beck Podcast
Over the course of his nearly five-decade career, Jeff Allen has become a master at clean comedy — no crudeness, no swearing, no political incorrectness … just jokes. And amid the recent terror attack in Israel, crashing economies around the world, and a tension between Republicans and Democrats in America that grows daily, every single person could benefit from listening to Jeff Allen’s unique humor. But Allen’s life wasn’t always about good timing and funny stories. He sits down with Glenn in this episode of “The Glenn Beck Podcast” to tell his full story. His book, “Are We There Yet: My Journey from a Messed-Up to Meaningful Life,” details everything from addiction and his rock bottom to the moment that changed everything and turned him fully toward Christ. He tells Glenn about his nonchalant marriage proposal at an airport baggage claim in Cleveland, Ohio, a hilarious incident on a ski lift, and how performing with Dry Bar Comedy helped “change [his] life.” But ultimately, this conversation provides what most of us need after being bombarded with devastating news around the world day after day: a good cry and a good laugh.
